We are seeking a Systems Engineer to manage and support our Active Directory infrastructure, ensuring a scalable, secure, and efficient IT environment. This role involves administering corporate IT applications, implementing enterprise-wide solutions, and providing end-user support. The ideal candidate will have experience with Active Directory, Office 365, SCCM, and IT security compliance standards while demonstrating strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

How you will help:

Active Directory & Office 365 Administration:

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers (DCs), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management.
  • Manage Office 365 services, including Exchange (on-prem/hybrid), SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and security policies.
  • Ensure optimal performance and security of Active Directory and Office 365 environments.

Infrastructure & System Management:

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows servers (2019, 2022) in both physical and virtual (VMware ESX) environments.
  • Implement and maintain System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including deployment, updates, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Oversee network printing, directory structures, permissions, and file services.
  • Support Windows Intune (MDM) and mobile device management.

Security & Compliance:

  • Administer security policies, including system hardening, Group Policy creation/testing, and compliance with SOX, SAS70, PCI, and ITIL.
  • Assign, document, and maintain user logins, certificates, passwords, and access profiles.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring compliance with corporate security guidelines.
  • Test and implement disaster recovery plans and participate in incident response.
  • Review, document, and test server and workstation security policies based on best practices.

End-User & IT Support:

  • Provide technical support for Synchronoss employees and consultants.
  • Respond to service requests from internal ticketing systems.
  • Offer world-class customer service, troubleshooting user access, application issues, and network resources.
  • Coordinate third-party maintenance for hardware and software support.

Project Management & Collaboration:

  • Lead IT technical initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Coordinate work priorities and manage projects effectively.
  • Document system configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in cross-functional troubleshooting and collaboration with storage, networking, and messaging teams.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Provide mentorship and training to junior IT staff.
  • Develop and share process documentation, best practices, and training materials.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to improve infrastructure security and efficiency.

Who we have in mind:

  • 3+ years of experience in Active Directory administration and enterprise IT support.
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management.
  • Hands-on experience managing Office 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Experience with SSO technologies (e.g., SAML, WS-Federation).
  • Hands-on experience in SCCM for system management and deployment.
  • Experience with Active Directory hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune for Windows Autopilot and mobile device management.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, Windows Server (2019, 2022), and TCP/IP networking.
  • Understanding of security compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI, ITIL).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

It would be great if you had:

  • Mentorship experience and ability to train other team members.
  • Experience writing process documentation and defining IT best practices.
  • Familiarity with emerging IT technologies and infrastructure improvements.
  • Certification in Microsoft technologies (MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent).
  • Experience in business analysis and IT project delivery.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and business units.
